NASHVILLE -
brokeimage "Country music was honest or it was nothing. When it was sad, it said it was sad, when it was glad, it said it was glad. And sometimes, deliciously like now, it could be both at the same time." - Pat Booth, Nashville

LeAnne Carson regretted nothing more than not reaching for her dreams. And when illness tragically ends her life, her daughter Savanna is determined not to make the same mistake. Inheriting her mother's good looks, musical ability and '29 Gibson guitar, she sets out to be what LeAnne always wanted to be: a country music star.

To her father's disapproval, Savanna quits Columbia Unversity in New York, to head for the home of country: Nashville, Tennessee. Forced to make it on her own merits when her father cuts her off, she seeks success the hard way - playing the graveyard shifts in the most rundown of bars, slipping tapes to stars like the legendary Dwight Deacon.

It is a perseverance that pays off. When up and coming producer Aron Wallis chances on her in the Crazy C, he knows that he has found a star. But when he plays Savanna's demo tape to his record company bosses, their reaction isn't delight bur horror. For the song is the same as the one Savanna slipped to Dwight Deacon, a song that Deacon has now recorded and claimed as his own. And as everyone in Nashville knows, anyone who dares disagree with Deacon will never work in country music again.
